Experts and guests of the XII Dairy Olympics will talk about agricultural exports

Over 11 years of work, the Dairy Olympics has brought together more than 11,000 participants of dairy industry from all over the world. This year, the event will be held in the United Arab Emirates, one of the most dynamically developing economies in the Middle East with a huge market.

“According to the majority of Russian experts, the export of dairy products of the Russian Federation is currently hardly possible. At the same time, the countries of the Middle East are not ready to buy Russian dairy products in large quantities. However, we have something to offer this region and not only. The Russian agro-industrial complex has people and technologies that are relevant to the Middle East. Technologies created for the development of animal husbandry in extreme conditions", - said the Director of the Dairy Intelligence Agency (DIA) Mikhail Mishchenko. - "In addition, at the Olympics we will talk about the export of Belarusian products. We will discuss the issues of trade in dairy products, hold a number of interesting sections, discuss global issues related to the fall in milk consumption. Our goal is to show its cause and prove why the dairy industry should go on the offensive, to revise the product range and how it can be interesting for the consumer", - summed up the representative of the organizers.

The dairy industry in Russia has gained one of the fastest rates of industrial production. Over the past 6 years, raw milk production in Russia has grown by 23%, and cheese production - by more than 80%. Today, the average number of dairy farms of industrial type in Russia exceeds 400 cows, which is one of the largest indicators in the world.

In Russia, there are 18 companies with more than 10,000 head of livestock and more than 600 dairy farms with more than 1,000 head of livestock. The yield per head has increased by 18% over the past 5 years.

Over the past 10 years, the Russian dairy business has trained dozens of world-class experts: effective feeders, livestock technicians, geneticists, veterinarians. The peculiarity of Russian technologies is connected with the need to work with large herds in extremely difficult climatic conditions. Today, hardly any other country in the world can boast of specialists of this level, able to develop effective production in the conditions of Siberian frosts and prolonged heat.

In addition, Russian feed producers have the largest production and scientific potential in the world, since Russia is the country with the largest territory in the world suitable for growing feed.
