Hassan Sayeh: two trends and three variables of the dairy market in the Middle East
"In the next 20 years, the dairy market in the Middle East expects several trends: the first is that poor countries will import more milk powder and dairy products with a long shelf life. The second is that the consumption of goat's milk is expected to increase", said Hassan Sayeh.
At the same time, the expert stressed that there are three variables that will have an impact on the market. These are local government policies and smart cities built from scratch: "They are going to become producers and importers of dairy products".
The expert called the third variable what products will be put on the market in the future by two major Middle Eastern countries: Syria, which is largely controlled by Russia, and Iraq, which is largely controlled by the United States.
"Both have the sun, land and water, but there is no agriculture. This raises the question of what these two major countries will bring to the market in the future. These unknown variables will create the future of the market for the next 20 years", concluded Hassan Sayeh.
We remind that Hassan Sayeh will perform at the April XII Dairy Olympics, which will be held in Dubai. The expert will take part in the conference "Dairy industry and promising markets of the Middle East and North Africa", which will be held on April 7.
